Amazing. Depressing, but amazing.

Stochastic terrorism folks.
Holy fuck that link. I guess Israel learned that Europeans (generally) won’t bend over backwards for their Apartheid (stares at USS Liberty).
Pretty sure nobody cares, but man as a third world country guy it feels weird as fuck to see these reasonable-looking numbers only to multiply by 50 and get a heart attack.
I’ve never used a Mac but my experience with iPhones and iPads (not mine) has convinced me to never touch anything Apple makes. The requirement of iTunes to send files between an iPhone and a PC is, for example, just ridiculous.
They don’t pay because the law is too toothless and the IRS has no money. Vermont is on the right track.
car makers just jack up their prices so they make more off the subsidy
Exactly.
Really we should be subsidizing EVs from our own manufacturers.
You are. Still not doing much to corporate greed.
It does, but that’s the thing: It does either way. There should be no change due to the conversion of energy to mass.
I mean no, but the people with meteorology degrees are probably not gonna be working a job where the number one requirement is to be hot (and not, y’know, have a meteorology degree).
Correct me if I am wrong, but as I understand it mass and energy is equivalent no?
Yes.
And it also still baffles us as to why rest mass and resultant mass from energy should be equivalent at all?
I don’t know about this one. I’m not an expert so don’t quote he on it, but I don’t remember hearing this before.
No no that’s a completely different phenomenon. This is the phenomenon involved in Hawking’s radiation and similar.
It’s that they’re using a more normal people term. They probably wanted to say vacuum.
So I wonder, even if it’s only appearing very briefly it’s still going to exert some small gravitational effect.
I don’t think so. Remember: This is energy being converted to mass, not mass coming out of nowhere.
Nope, they actually appear and disappear. The idea is that even in vacuum there’s a certain amount of background energy and that energy can randomly turn into matter-antimatter pairs in what is basically the inverse of matter-antimatter annihilation.
I mean tbf Islamophobia on an Indian subreddit isn’t surprising.
Even Germany is selling weapons to Israel and I can’t blame anyone for wanting nothing to do with that, but getting back to the US: In order to get into a position where they can influence national decisions, the random communist literature student will have to be a major part of the US war machine. Now remember that the US has been involved in two genocides in the past 10 years. I see your point but the kind of person who will actually steer the country towards peace will never be allowed to reach such a position in the first place unless they become another cog in the war machine.
Well, part of the reason is certainly because leftist social circles straight up bully anyone in their own ranks who would consider joining.
I mean it’s very understandable that people don’t wanna get involved in supporting America’s settler colonialism project, among other things.
What the… You’re not even making sense anymore.
Why did they even do that?
