Every time I try to create anything with any of these “never before seen levels of customization” character creators I end up feeling like dr Frankenstein with the monsters I create. Basically every game I play it’s just the default model with like heterochromia or something lol. I have no idea how some people create the works of art they do.

I took faulty to mean buggy, but that’s really just semantics. Either would affect your view of the game pretty similarly.

I mean you basically stated it as a matter of fact. You didn’t go into any explanation of your thoughts and just dismissed the game as buggy and boring in a single sentence. On a post about how they potentially plagiarized pokemon that seems to be a little inflammatory.

Why did you so casually dismiss it? Just because you don’t like a game doesn’t mean it’s boring with a lot of faults. The game was at 20k players average on steam last month, putting it above valheim, bdo, rimworld, risk of rain 2. That doesn’t really speak to me as a boring game.

The literal endless abundance of things to do. Idc if my place is a closet if I’m never in it. Obviously if you’re raising a 5 person family it’s harder, but if you’re solo or DINK then why wouldn’t you

The 6P was the pinnacle of android for me. Beautiful design, backside fingerprint reader, and still a cheapish price before Google started with their pixel nonsense (actually made me go iPhone for a few generations because I was so pissed at what they ditched the nexus line for). But yeah, just a great culmination of android being in a good place, hardware, and nostalgia.

My memory is shot so who knows what else I thought was good this year but Super Smash Bros Melee will always be in my heart, especially when it’s something as insane as a Yoshi for the first time since the game released 20+ years ago, who also isn’t from the strongest region (NA), to win a tourney.

Samsung’s is pretty useless though… Just says “good.” Now idk if there’s more details that populate when it’s bad but just having a single word doesn’t really fill me with confidence. Would be nice to see some more stats.

I get the sentiment for sure and nothing looks worse than seeing 5 of them knocked over on a sidewalk but they were pretty nice. Here in Seattle it’s hilly as fuck so walking down a hill to downtown then scootering back up was nice. Hopefully a good bike share can replace them.

I watch forsen a lot on twitch, and his chat streams at a hundred messages a second so no one will ever see your individual chat. It’s awesome because it’s like a hive mind at work. Everyone is spamming one emote, and then something on stream happens and then every single chatter simultaneously starts spamming another emote in reaction to that. It’s fun.

For me smaller streams aren’t fun because everything’s (generalizing here) super moderated. No unrelated chat, nothing negative, no backseat gaming, etc. It’s basically post something positive about the streamer or the game and that’s it. Of course if you’re watching your buddy with three other guys not applicable.

Green/blue bubbles is just a simple way to say sms sucks. Besides those stories about teens getting social pressured, all anyone cares about is basically just sending photos that don’t look like they were taken 20 years ago.

Thanks for the response. I would just like to say even if an update did do that, that still doesn’t have anything to do with how to remove it… When I posted this, I was hoping there was just some setting I was missing.

Thanks for the serious reply, I appreciate it! Now that you mention it, me having a fold must definitely be it. For some apps when I highlight text, the menu sometimes spans almost the whole screen. And again, thank you for the tips you provided for the software side. Unfortunately, I’m a hardware guy so diving into any of that seems impossible to me haha.

What I did find however, is a possible solution though. To originally remove the Amazon search button, I had to reinstall the app. This worked for a few hours, but at some point it came back on its own. Doing some more sleuthing, I realized that Samsung (maybe it’s an android thing too though?) has a deep sleep function. Basically, you can deep sleep an app so it’s essentially disabled until you open the app again. So even going into the system’s app list in settings, it now lists Amazon as “disabled.” So no running in the background and I suppose telling other apps it’s installed so they can display that search button. I only just discovered this while posting, so while the button is removed now, it remains to be seen if it’ll stay working.

This set up works for me since the app stays easily accessible in my app drawer, and as far as I can tell, still works perfectly fine upon launching. So I can still use it for my required use cases. Now if you need your apps to function in the background this may not be a solution. I wish there was just a simple setting is settings somewhere that addressed what and in what order appears in this menu. That would simplify a lot of things. Just another reminder of how we own nothing anymore… In any case, thanks for the response. Hope this can help you too.
