Student then proceeds to fuck his teacher to skip class and fuck the doctor to get drugs. Gets on so many drugs he even hears his cat talk.

While I agree that we have a duty to avoid unethical brands whenever possible, there’s just no way to escape them all. I live in a poor country and I there’s a lot of “bad stuff” I have to buy just because it’s what I can affford at the moment.
There is no ethical consumption under capitalism.
The moment I start seeing Meta content here is the moment I leave. People are being very, VERY naive in thinking that the Fediverse is immune to corporate interest. Judging by the Mastodon response, we are already seeing that it’s not.
Careful with that way of thinking, because labeling everyone who fails as “idiots” means that if you fail (and we all do sometimes), the idiot would be you. And people don’t have to die or live a miserable life for failing, because we have no control of a lot of things in life that can make us fail.
I’m interested in the RSS feed thing, but I have no clue how to do it, where do I start?
“Freedom” can be used to justify lots of really bad stuff. Meta has too much money to be trusted, they WILL fuck the Fediverse up eventually for more profit on the first chance they get (and people with lots of money always get those chances).
And it’s not just about morality and the fucked up stuff that’s happened on Meta, Iike the Cambridge Analytica scandal. I stopped using Facebook years ago because of the low quality of the content being posted there. And last week I logged back in to sell some stuff and oh boy, the content managed to get even worse.
I don’t want growth just for the sake of growth. We don’t need big corporations getting involved.
A bunch of climate doomers become terrorists.
