It’s one of the most awesome softwares ever. I’ve been using it for so long that my life now relies on syncthing and if it ever stopped working I would be in a massive trouble. I think I don’t rely on any other software as much.

Unlike what people say, it is also an awesome tool for backup and saved my life many times.

I now exclusively use Syncthing for my syncing. I have an RPI always on at another location where everything is backed up, and I sync my documents, images, and other files between my laptop and smartphone.

It works great and was super easy to set up!

Möbius Sync for ios is pretty limited compared to the android syncthing client but it’s the only way to escape the tyranny of ICloud on Iphones

Oh wow thanks I didn’t know it, I am an iphone user since only recently. However most limitations come from ios limiting background services so I’m not sure how different this one is. Möbius also added experimental support for synching photos which is my main use case and I will have to investigate if sushitrain support this feature.

I was really confused as I’ve been using Synctrain on iOS for a while and it’s great but I’d not been to look at the source code or heard of sushitrain. TIL.

Isn’t syncthing discontinued? Meaning not maintained anymore? I use Filen which is a cloud service, but it’s not the best.

I use FolderSync to sync files between cloud and android. Have been using OneDrive and want to switch to pCloud but it doesn’t seem to work so I might switch. Anyone with experience with Syncthing on android?

Recently switched from FolderSync to Syncthing - using Syncthing-Fork on my android smartphone.

Was easier to set up than expected. If you have lots of devices, read up on the introducer feature, it makes the connecting all devices to each other more convenient.

I recommend activating the time schedule feature for Android Smartphones to save battery, mine is set to run for 5 minutes every hour.
