A colleague drinks coffee out of one of these bad boys:
He did have to switch to decaffeinated eventually, though.
A company doctor once asked me how much coffee I drank per day.
I said about 1 sometimes even 2.
“Good, good” he said. Starts saying that the max amount is 2 cups a day. It is bad to drink more than that because of the caffeine, or else your body will make too much adrenaline which in that case causes too much pressure on your muscles.
I quietly stared at him for a good 20 seconds and said: “cups? No no, I mean pots. I drink 1 to 2 pots a day…”
Well, his head almost exploded when he heard that.
20 seconds is a long ass time to be staring at a doctor 🤨
Thats like fifteen bucks worth of staring
Tasted coffee the first time when I was 7.
Let’s see, when will I taste it next time!I’m 32.
Coffee is sort of like beer: the bitterness is way too strong for kids, but tolerable for adults.
Most people cut it with cream and sugar, but if you have a decent quality coffee it becomes easy to tolerate it black.
I don’t understand why people are motivated to “learn to like” drinks that are not even good for us. Excessive sugar, caffeine, alchohol, cigars etc. all normalized to have a addiction to.
Yeah I’ve understood the same thing, about changing the taste.
Not that I do beer either.
I’m 37 and never really developed an appreciation for the bitter taste, so I’m neither a coffee drinker (not even the milk/sugar types) or a beer drinker; I also don’t like dark chocolate. I’ve tried, but it just never became enjoyable.
I’d never drank it until I was 32. I decided to start drinking it because all the soda I’ve had throughout my life (pretty much addictrd to mountain dew, Dr pepper, and red bull throughout my life) was starting to catch up to me. Soda is way worse for you than coffee, and I wanted a healthier option. I hated it at first but kept drinking it. Now I look forward to it. 2 cups a day, any more than that and I get anxious and jittery. And best of all, haven’t had soda since (except the occasional jarittos). Still have never drank alcohol though, addiction runs in my family
If you get really good coffee, you can get tasting notes like chocolate, cinnamon, almond, etc. and you won’t need the creamer.
I will say once I started using caffeine every other day, or even every 3 days, I noticed a difference in the effectiveness. I still get headaches from lack of caffeine, but I feel the effects then I take it.
Weird. I had headaches practically every week back when I drinked coffee semi-regularly (1-2 times a week).
Around a year ago, I’ve stopped drinking coffee completely and switched to strong tea. Never felt so clear-minded and headaches are far less frequent then before, and if I have one - it’s like 10% of it’s usual strength.
I don’t drink coffee at home. At work I drank it because it was there. Every Sunday I had a headache. I’ve since quit coffee all together and I was surprised how clear it made my head. It also made me more awake because I don’t drink it anymore.
Now I sometimes drink it as a treat once a month or so. Never felt better.
I started using caffeine
Lmao
How large?
Only two? Those are rookie numbers!

Also that friend who says they only have one tablespoon of peanut butter … who has actually turned it into an art to balance four ounces of peanut butter onto one spoon.
Im cutting down. So far, im down to two cups of double-scoop instant coffee a day. From 6 a day. Double scoops. I believe thats about 1200mg per day.
