“I can’t use Linux because I play this one game for a few minutes every six years and it might not work on Linux.”

Musicians are valid though.
From what I’ve used, FL studio works via wine, when it wants too.

Also, you can have a Linux machine and a Windows 7 machine for FL Studio, like I do.
is there no good alternative for FL studio?
I like Reaper, and there are tons of others, but they are different DAWs ofc. What I’m saying is that there are tons of alternatives if you want to learn another program.
Ironically, as a Linux user, I have a special Windows VM setup that borrows a GPU from my host and so can run games just fine, but with regards to anticheat-protected games (a major reason it exists in the first place), it sees far more use testing games for other people than playing games I actually like. Most of which don’t work, incidentally, as anticheat that blocks Proton tends to also be pretty bad about VMs as well.
Whether this changes with the revelation that Destiny 2 knows when it’s being run in a VM and does not give a shit, we’ll see.I did miss Ableton on windows but now I just use a MacBook for that
Ableton works on Linux through Wine. Not sure about other plugins/live setups though
Yeah I mostly miss how simply it worked with all sorts of plugins and stuff so Mac is just simpler for me currently
Bitwig is a wonderful linux native replacement
Omg, I get it!
I’ll switch when I upgrade my ancient quad core, motherboard, and RAM. I’ve just had other priorities.
